One of the best place to see 360 degrees of Reykjavik skyline is at Perlan, one of Reykjavík's prominent landmarks.

Located at Öskjuhlíðin, Perlan was originally a cluster of hot water tanks - but in 1991, a building was placed on top of the tanks and with that, it was transformed into a building that hosts exhibitions, has a restaurant, café and an amazing observation deck.  The huge wrap-around balcony makes it possible to see all around the capital as well as the mountain range beyond. 

The exhibition "Wonders of Iceland" is currently located at Perlan, representing the geological wonders of Iceland.
